We had 2 wonderful Days in Santa Cruz, Teneriffe. We arrived to the Island at 3 in the morning, after 1,5 days of sailing from Madeira. It was pitch black and we didnt find any place so we tried to anchor outside but had to quit this plans when it was way to deep. To the end we found a place in another marina. It took us 2 hours before we managed to park the boat.
In the morning same day we moved the boat to Santa Cruz, the main marina. Now we had better luck and found a place next to the bigger sailing boats. We took one day to repair thw watermaker and fixing the boat after our sailing. Second day we rented a car and explored Tiede, a big Vulcano and spains highest mountain. It was over 3000 meters high and we were long over the Clouds. It was very Beautiful up here and the nature was very rocky, almoust like a desert. It was black lava everywhere. We took some small lava stones with us so Theodora and Konstantin can send it home to their classes in Sweden.
When we came back to our harbour we met a Swedish couple who had a VERY big Swan boat. It was over 100 feet. Thomas, the owner invited us on board and made a super nice round tour and showed us the ship, thanks Thomas for this. The same evening we joined a Swedish Community of "long distanse sailors". We had some drinks and snacks out on a resturant and around 20 people joined, really cool to share experienses and talk some Swedish again.
Next stop is Las Palmas, Gran Canaria for the ARC 2018.
